A clever system turns rainwater into drinking water
2024, October: Access to clean water is a basic human right, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of Project Maa - bringing that reality to Maringkik Island, Indonesia.

Together with the Reece Foundation and Project Hiu, we’ve installed a sustainable rainwater catchment system at the local school, giving over 400 students and staff the life-changing ability to drink safe water directly from the tap for the first time.
Until now, families relied on costly bottled water from the Indonesian mainland. Thanks to BWT’s advanced water treatment technology, rainwater collected in a large pool is transformed into safe, clean drinking water. This ensures students stay hydrated, healthy, and ready to learn without the financial burden of expensive water.
