51 taps for three villages in Kenya

2024, July 1st: In Kenya, three neighboring villages Mahigaini, Matandara and Gwakanai form the Gathigiriri cluster.
.
Most members of the community fetch their water from the nearby rice canals. However, these are heavily polluted with pesticides and contaminated with human waste. The district government is extremely concerned about the use of the canal water and the associated health effects. Therefore, the municipality is supporting the project to build a modular water system to supply the villages with clean water as quickly as possible. In the three villages, 51 taps are planned, as well as a water storage tank with a total capacity of 60,000 liters of water.
